Individual Therapy
Life is a long journey leading us home to ourselves. In therapy, we can work on helping you follow that path to a greater sense of inner safety, familiarity, and self-compassion. I approach therapy from an attachment perspective that includes attuning to your somatic experiences and becoming more familiar with the ways the world communicates with your nervous system, and the ways your nervous system communicates with you. I encourage building discernment and trust in your own instincts, rooted in self-compassion and your unique sense of integrity and the values you hold. In addition to methods informed by attachment theory, I utilize aspects of internal family systems, polyvagal theory, and psychospiritual models of development.
I am only accepting clients who are over the age of 18.

Couples/Relationship Therapy
Susan Johnson, the creator of emotion-focused therapy, writes that "From the cradle to the grave, humans desire a certain someone who will look out for them, notice and value them, soothe their wounds, reassure them in life’s difficult places, and hold them in the dark." We may think of attachment as something that pertains mostly to children, but adults have important attachment needs as well, and these needs most often are met by our partners. The dance of adult attachment can be complex, as we all bring past hurts and our histories into our current relationships. Fear and shame can flow underground like a hidden river and carve a valley between partners, and healing this rift involves attending to those fears, hurts, and histories. In therapy, we will investigate the dynamics that can keep you separate from one another, and begin to build more authentic intimacy that can sustain you through the challenges of life. Both monogamous and polyamorous relationships are most welcome in therapy with me, as well as couples beginning to explore the possibility of non-monogamy.
Family Therapy
Family is at the center of human life. To be in a family is to be inextricably linked to a constellation of others. It is an essential source of connection, belonging, and joy, but it also comes with a myriad of challenges. There are complex transitions and moments of crisis that can render old dynamics and coping mechanisms useless. Sometimes there are old hurts that need to be attended to, and sometimes we discover that there are wounds that have been passed down through the generations and for whatever reason seek to be healed in this current family generation. Whatever it is that has brought you to this moment, family therapy is an excellent place to join together and navigate these issues. Family therapy is not about judgment or blame - it's about connection, and as a therapist I approach all members of a family with curiosity and care, knowing that every person has a story.
I currently only work with families with adult children (18+).
